I’m glad you like yesterday’s post on foods that taste so much better than skinny feels. It’s important to occasionally take a break from healthy eating/dieting and indulge in your favorite treat. Enjoy your life and treat yourself!
You know those crazy stick figure family decals on the back of cars? I see them all the time. I try not to judge–God knows how I’ll behave when I have a family–but they sure do make me chuckle. In the parking lot the other day, I spotted a Patriots family! At first I was like, “ok, that’s acceptable stick figure behavior.”
But as I got closer to I realized Mom and dog are Giants fans! I had to laugh that the kids clearly took Dad’s side and are rooting for the right team. Unleeeesssss…Mom is a stepmom? Or actually the nanny? So many possibilities here.
I’ve always said that my zodiac sign’s traits are a pretty accurate depiction of my personality. Then I saw this mug at The Christmas Tree Shop and seriously wanted to be born under a different sign.
Overemotional, moody, and touchy?! I mean…is that not every woman on the planet?! They nailed it on “protective” though. 100%.
I tried another restaurant that I’ve had bookmarked since last summer. Life Alive is a vegetarian cafe in Lowell that aims to nourish and energize their patrons with delicious, organic food. The menu is full of smoothies, juices, soups, salads, wraps, and bowls. It’s super colorful inside, just like the food they serve.
My dinner above was The Explorer: homemade red lentil hummus, sesame crunches, sun-dried tomatoes, cucumber, corn, and spring mix sprinkled with shredded carrots and beets with a honey wasabi vinaigrette. Clean eating at its best.
But what really took me by surprise was their pee facility. HELLO zen bathroom! I snapped a minimum of 5 pics. How could I not?!
Speaking of visual stimulation, I realized I had not gotten an eye exam in almost three years. I broke my glasses a couple months ago–they got caught between my pocket and a Trader Joe’s grocery cart, I kid you not–so it was time to visit the optometrist. After the exam, I walked over to the glasses, saw a pair, and said “These are the ones.” JUST LIKE THAT. I hope that happens when I pick out my wedding dress. For funsies, I tried on like 20 other pairs. After narrowing it down to two, I still knew I had initially made the right decision. But first, which pair do you guys like better?
Have a good one, friends!
